The Centre for Drug Candidate Optimisation (CDCO) is an internationally recognised, well resourced research group that collaboratively supports the drug discovery activities of pharmaceutical/biotech companies and research institutions. The CDCO integrates the essential disciplines of physical and preformulation chemistry, pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, functional biology and bioanalysis. The aims of the CDCO are:
The CDCO currently comprises 24 staff and collaborates with 15 drug discovery groups. The CDCO is an integral part of the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS), Monash University and is located within the “Parkville strip” along with many other prestigious biomedical research centres. Positions AvailableIn Vitro Section Leader (Research Fellow) The CDCO is seeking a senior level scientist to head its In Vitro section. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the strategic direction, resource allocation and operational efficiencies of a team of scientists. The In Vitro Section Leader will conceptualise, plan and manage all of the in vitro activities conducted within the CDCO and will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and career development of staff working within this area. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and strong leadership skills and will have significant experience in strategic planning and implementation of new initiatives.
