Upgrade to a Master of Clinical Pharmacy

Holders of a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy may be able to upgrade their qualification to a Master of Clinical Pharmacy.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy was previously offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences as a 36 point award, completed part time over two years. TheMaster of Clinical Pharmacy is a 48 point award also completed over two years part time. The course content for the two courses is largely the same with the exception of 12 extra points in the Master of Clinical Pharmacy, which consists of a research project (Clinical research I, II and III).

Holders of a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy from Monash University may be eligible to upgrade to a Master of Clinical Pharmacy by enrolling in and completing extra Masters level units. For many recent Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy graduates, the main requirement to be fulfilled will be completion of a practice based research project

A small number of places will be available due to resource limitations, and applicants completing research projects will generally only be accepted in alternate years when the main cohort of students are not completing their projects.

  • Submit information on Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy course completed and marks obtained
  • Submit details of relevant work and study experience since completing your Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
  • Request exemptions/credits for Master of Clinical Pharmacy units already completed (either by a course of study at Monash University or alternatives)

Fees

Successful applicants will pay a pro-rata fee to complete the required units. This will consist of the relevant fraction of the total course fee based on the credit point load in which they are enrolled.
