Vocational experience
Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science students have the opportunity to gain practical industry skills through either a research project of an industrial experience placement in their third year of study.
Students who major in medicinal chemistry undertake a research project that provides experience with the core technologies of drug discovery. Typically, the research project is a combination of laboratory experiments, reports and oral presentations.
Students who study the formulation science major spend time in industry working on an individual development project for four weeks. This placement gives students an insight into the day to day practice of formulation science. Many companies participate in the industrial experience program, including:
