  • The application of surfactants and colloid science to problems in drug delivery and pharmaceutics
  • The application of lipid phase behaviour to drug delivery
  • The use of lipid-based liquid crystalline systems to formulate functional materials in broader technology areas, such as agrochemicals, chemical manufacturing and diagnostics
  • The production, characterisation and use of dispersed cubic and hexagonal phase systems

  • Dendrimers as model colloidal drug delivery systems
  • Application of colloidal drug delivery for the development of complex generic products
  • The impact of liquid crystalline phase formation on lipid-based oral drug delivery
  • The use of liquid crystalline systems as a means of delivery for hydrophilic drugs, peptides and proteins
