Pharmacy Education Symposium - Abstract Submission

Call for Abstracts

We invite you to share your experiences of multidisciplinary teaching by submitting an abstract to give an oral or paper presentation, or to lead a workshop or a PeArLS (Personally Arranged Learning Session). Practice-based abstracts relevant to the various forms of multidisciplinary teaching are welcomed and due by 2 March 2007.

Some Symposium abstracts will be published in the journal Pharmacy Education.

Contributed papers
Contributed papers (oral presentations or posters) provide an opportunity to share aspects of your own experience or research on aspects of multidisciplinary teaching in pharmacy education. Oral presentations will be 10-minutes duration followed by 5-minutes question time. Posters will be displayed throughout the Symposium.

Presenters will be expected to attend their poster during the poster session(s). Posters should not exceed 1 m (width) x 1.2 m (height). Posters will be attached to display boards by Velcro hooks.

Workshops
Workshop sessions will provide an opportunity for you to teach others or lead a hands-on format where you share your skills, knowledge and experiences. It is anticipated that workshops will have approximately 30 attendees and run for about 45 minutes.

PeArLS
PeArLS will explore specific topics of interest where small groups of  8-10 participants share their experiences, ideas and learn from each other. PeArL sessions will run for approximately 45 minutes.
