PhD and Master of Pharmaceutical Science applicants and candidates

As a research applicant or student you are eligible to apply for non-taxable stipend or living allowance ($19,616AUD for 2007). If you are an International applicant or student tuition fee Scholarship opportunities are available.

However, the competition for scholarships is intense. You must demonstrate that your qualifications and experience are the equivalent of a Bachelor degree at an Honours level of H1 or equivalent. If you do not have a H1 grade you will need excellent results from your undergraduate degree/s and/or postgraduate degree/s as well as combinations of the following:

• Publications in refereed journals;
• Conference abstracts;
• Reports;
• Patents;
• Prizes;
• Essentially, evidence that demonstrates research proficiency or experience is welcomed for inclusion in Scholarship applications.

You are able to apply for a research degree with us at any time during the year. However, application forms for scholarships are only available from mid August and the closing date for 2007 is 31 October. Results will be known around mid December 2007 for Scholarships commencing in 2008.
