Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science students will need to consider which major they will undertake when reenrolling, either Formulation Science or Medicinal Chemistry. Students should refer to the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science course information page or contact Professor Barrie Finnin, Course Director for further information.

Bachelor of Engineering/Pharmaceutical Science students enrolling into Clayton units should contact Vicki Nash from the Faculty of Engineering  for further information.

Course planning advice for students who have failed units or been granted credit for previous studies

Students who have not passed all their units will need to repeat the failed unit (or equivalent) in the following year, usually alongside some units from the year level above, provided the prerequisites are met and there are no timetable clashes.

Students are permitted to enrol in a combination of 1st/2nd year units, or 2nd/3rd year units if they have failed a unit or enrolled with credit. However, 3rd/4th year units cannot be combined due to placements creating unresolvable timetable clashes. 1st/2nd/3rd year units may not be taken in the same year.

Students in this situation are encouraged to make a course planning appointment. Please contact the Academic and Student Services Manager  for further information.

Prerequisite Waivers

To be enrolled in any unit from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, it is expected that students will have satisfied all prerequisite requirements.

However, if students believe they have exceptional circumstances compelling them to attempt a unit without having successfully completed the prerequisities, they must seek approval for the prerequisite rules to be waived by completing the Application to waive prerequisite conditions form [PDF 32KB].
